MISSION HOME

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home (sleeps six comfortably) is nestled in the beautiful southern Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico for Southern Baptist missionaries on stateside assignment, Southern Baptist Convention leaders, visiting evangelists, pastors, and so forth. It is within walking distance to a local cafe and also Mayhill Baptist Church where you have access to the library and wireless internet. It is fully furnished and the perfect spot for a family or solo getaway to relax, recharge, or reset.

PURPOSE:

The primary purpose of the Mission Home is to provide housing, fellowship and service opportunities for Southern Baptist  Missionaries on stateside assignment. The Missions Committee shall administer this policy and recommend revisions or changes to the church for approval.

RESIDENT QUALIFICATIONS:

Southern Baptist North American and International Missionaries shall have first priority for use of the residence.  During periods of vacancy, the residence may also be used by SBC leadership, visiting evangelists, pastors on sabbatical or others who have come to Mayhill Baptist Church to minister or are in need of renewal.

RESERVATIONS:

Reservation requests for the use of the Mission Home can be made through the church using the Missionary Housing Request form found on this website under Mission Home Documents and calling the church for date availability.

Reservations will be accepted up to two years in advance and are subject to availability. While there is no minimum stay requirement, stays will be limited to twelve months. If more than twelve months is required, the missions committee will review each request on an individual basis and approval will be based on availability.

CHURCH RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     The Mission Home is fully furnished including appliances, kitchen utensils, and linens.

2.     The Mission Home is provided rent-free, including all utilities and phone, however, there is no long-distance on the phone.

RESIDENTS RESPONSIBILITIES

 1.    There are no pets allowed.

 2.    There is no smoking allowed.

 3.     Furniture or other items may not be removed from the premises for any purpose, without prior approval from the Missions Committee.

 4.     Residents are expected to care for, including normal house cleaning, and take reasonable precautions to protect the home during their stay.

 5.     Residents should report any repairs needed to the Missions Committee and/or the pastor.

 6.     Residents will need to purchase a long-distance phone card in order to make any long-distance calls.

7.    When vacating the premises, the resident shall fill out the Missionary Residence Exit Review and ensure the condition of the house is the same as when first occupied, except for normal wear.
